Climate Change: where we are and what next post COP26

Campbell Keir has more than 30 years of professional experience in the oil and gas industry. After graduating with a Master’s degree, he joined Shell International as a Petroleum Engineer. Over a period of 10 years, he worked in operations and technical positions in the Netherlands, Malaysia and Abu Dhabi. He then joined Shell’s research and development function where he worked on nuclear logging research and its application around the world for three years.

After a series of senior technical and managerial roles throughout the Middle East and Far East, Campbell worked for seven years as Country Chair for Shell in Kazakhstan, before being seconded in 2015 for two years into Department for International Trade (DIT) as Director for Energy. Following this secondment, Campbell joined DIT as Deputy Director of Energy and Infrastructure responsible for the Oil and Gas, Renewable Energy, Civil Nuclear and Infrastructure portfolio.

He has a Batchelors of Science in Physics and a Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering. Campbell now works as a senior adviser for infrastructure to British Expertise International
