Neil Kirkby joined SSE Enterprise as Managing Director in January 2017. In that time it has evolved into SSE Energy Solutions which provides both distributed energy solutions for customers as well as a rapidly growing solar and battery storage division. Neil is also a board member for SSE's 50% owned Telecoms business.
Prior to joining SSE Neil was Managing Director, Global Power Networks, for Balfour Beatty plc; and before joining Balfour Beatty in 2012, Neil was Chief Executive Officer at Enterprise Ltd before a spell as a Managing Director for Serco plc. His first job was as a Police Officer in South Yorkshire and he currently lives in Warrington, Cheshire.
