Paul Nicholson is an experienced political strategist with over 20 years of experience in political management, campaign leadership, and party organisation. His career with the UK Labour Party has been extensive, spanning roles such as Regional Director for the South West of England and Yorkshire and the Humber and senior director in the General Secretary's Office. Paul has been instrumental in five general elections, advised on party reorganisation, and overseen the selection of numerous Labour candidates who have become MPs and ministers. As Director of Projects for the party, he led crucial initiatives for the party's organisational transition and preparation for government after 14 years in opposition.
Before his political career, Paul worked as a Human Factors scientist for NATS, focusing on mental workload in air traffic management and postgraduate research in AI within control systems. He now runs a political consultancy, advising organisations, including within the space sector, on engaging with the new Labour Government. He also works on international projects supporting political parties in countries such as Pakistan and Libya. Paul also holds voluntary roles within the Labour Party, serves as a school governor, and lives in London with his two children.
