Securing Strategic Integration - The D Group Special Report on the forthcoming Integrated Review

An Integrated Review of foreign, defence, security and international development policy was formally announced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson on 26 February 2020. It has been billed as the largest policy review of its kind since the end of the Cold War. However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the government has delayed its publication until 2021.

The D Group welcomes the delay but recognises the critical importance of the review to national security. Therefore we have written the first of three special reports on our priorities for the Integrated Review.

This special report is based on our briefing programme and brings together insights from senior Whitehall, military, academia and industry speakers. It also includes contributions from The D Group members who operate across the whole value chain of companies engaged with UK defence and security, many of whom are Members of our Working Groups on National Security, Defence and Space.
