David brings a wide range of relevant experience to the D Group, including over 20 years in the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, during which he held a number of relevant ambassadorial and policy roles. On leaving the FCO, he was Executive Director of the UK and Europe subsidiary of the Tata Group holding company (including Jaguar Land Rover, Tata Steel and TCS), leading its engagement with UK government and the regions as one of the largest international investors and industrial employers. He has held Board positions in trade-related organisations including the UK-India Business Council. His other work includes supporting early-stage tech companies and advising on a number of international projects.
